Description

Each August, Earth passes through the debris trail of Comet Swift-Tuttle, creating one of the year's most spectacular meteor showers.

For this adventure, travel to a dark location during the peak of the Perseid meteor shower and spend an evening watching the night sky.

Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down. Let your eyes adjust to the darkness. Watch for meteors. Notice the stars, the sounds around you, the movement of clouds, and the gradual changes in the night.

The goal is not to capture the perfect photograph. The goal is to pay attention.

How It Builds Growth

Presence is the ability to fully engage with what is happening right now.

The Perseid Watch rewards attention. Meteors appear without warning. Some are bright and unforgettable. Others flash across the sky in an instant. There is no way to predict exactly when the next one will appear.

Participants quickly discover that the experience improves when they stop checking phones, stop multitasking, and simply watch.

For a few hours, the only job is to be here.

This adventure is for anyone who wants to slow down, look up, and experience something larger than everyday routines.
