Description
Create and publish an original documentary film that explores a real person, place, event, issue, or story.
Research the subject, conduct interviews, capture original footage, and shape the material into a compelling narrative. The finished documentary must be at least twenty minutes long and publicly available for others to view.
This adventure requires curiosity, creativity, persistence, and the willingness to look beyond the surface of everyday life.
How It Builds Growth
Documentary filmmaking develops the ability to see stories where others see ordinary events.
The process strengthens observation, empathy, creative problem solving, and communication. It encourages deeper curiosity about people and the world while teaching the discipline required to transform an idea into a finished work.
By the end of the project, you will have created something that informs, inspires, or preserves a story that might otherwise have been forgotten.
