After three summers sitting quietly in the barn, my kayaks finally returned to the water.

Three short hikes led us through some of my favorite local trails —from the wooded overlooks of Onanda Park to the cold, crystal-clear waters of Grimes Glen and the quiet banks of Naples Creek. We finished the day with a wine tasting in Naples and lunch with friends.

I joined nearly 5,000 cyclists for the Ride for Roswell, raising funds for cancer research while following the Empire State Trail and Niagara River through Buffalo and Tonawanda.
