A New Dream Begins - Feb 2026
This is not a vacation rental. This is not an escape hatch. This is not a midlife crisis in palm-tree form. Its a deliberate redesign of my Dream Life. Hollywood is the urban-tropical counterweight to the Fingerlakes Farm: where NY is heavy and complex, and dependent on family and staff, Hollywood is simple and solo. Where NY is responsibility, and carrying the load, Hollywood is recovery. The environment is urban, full of life, warm and sunny. The total opposite of NY rural, quiet, frozen winters. The apartment is chosen as a place where we live more and manage less. Because nurturing body and spirit are not optional.

Feb 1-5 - Furniture orders and delivery dates finalized for Feb 9 am
Feb 5-7 - Jai drives down to help set up condo
Feb 8 - I fly in from Dallas, arriving 7pm at Miami - Uber to condo
Feb 9 - Move in window for Furniture deliveries
Feb 10 - 13 - Work during day, shopping and set up at night
Feb 14 - 16 - Long Weekend to finish apartment set up
🚲 The Life I Will Live Here
Mornings start with walking or biking. There is always coffee. There is often the ocean.
Days include movement mixed in with remote work. Evenings are walks, sunsets, and simple dinners — sometimes with friends, often on my own.
🧭 What This Changes
Florida becomes my winter gravity. Big exciting trips become optional, not mandatory. The NY house stops being the center of everything. This is practice for retirement living. Tropical. Calm. Uncluttered. Easy to arrive in. Easy to live in. Easy to leave. Easy to return to.
📅 The next year is the Adventure and lifestyle experiment.
We will learn the rhythms of living between two worlds, see how often we really come and who visits and joins us. We will experiment with living more simply, reducing what we own and need. Let this experiment show us what’s next.
It is about designing a life that is a new dream.
